Find stocks moving into classic patterns before the breakout is obvious.
Every five minutes, MKTDATA normalises live price action and measures it against a library of textbook setups — bull flags, cups, wedges, triangles — then ranks the closest matches by shape, trend fit, volume and momentum.

One score, five ingredients
A match isn't a vibe — it's arithmetic. Each stock's last 20 candles are min-max normalised to a 0–100 scale so a $2 miner and a $500 tech name compare on shape alone, then scored:
Mean variance between the live path and the template, refined with Dynamic Time Warping so a pattern tracing slightly fast or slow still matches.
Correlation against the ideal path, plus volume expansion into the move — the classic tell that a breakout attempt is real.
Distance from the pattern's trigger level. Status flips from forming → near breakout → active → confirmed as price clears and holds it.
Momentum has to agree with the setup's direction. A bull flag with a rolling-over MACD gets marked down.
